PLAID’S NEVER BEEN SO PRETTY!
Funny story about this pattern, actually. Cheryl found a fabulous plaid vintage jacket in kind of this blue-green color combination and she was just really drawn to it. So, as she was designing Taos and these sage greens and teals were having a strong presence in the collection, she was inspired to reimagine it in a large-scale plaid incorporating those signature colors. And voila! It’s fabulous. On this jacket, we embellished it with a deep blue suede collar and trim, fluted stud accents, and classic concho buttons. The juxtaposition of the plaid and the velvet is kind of that high-low style that Millicent Rogers (who inspired much of the Taos collection) was known for.
